After demanding a check on Goa's "pub culture", central Tourism and Culture Minister Shripad Naik on Monday said he didn't know what the term is all about.

According to the revised procedure, foreign tourists in groups of four or more arriving by air or sea and sponsored by Tourism Ministry approved Indian travel agencies are to be granted collective landing permit for a period not exceeding 60 days.

Goa government has banned drinking liquor on beaches in a bid to curb littering and nuisance caused to women tourists. However, one can continue to enjoy drinks at designated places like beach shacks, Goa Tourism Director Nikhil Desai told PTI.

Goa Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar told the state legislative assembly today that the government is considering Playboy's proposal to set up a club at Candolim beach,

Candolim beach is the second largest beach in Goa.

Candolim beach is wide with soft sand.

Judging Candolim from the outside you can say the beach never sleeps, the lights are bright during the day and late at night. The nightclubs in Candolim range from Shiro, Butter, SinQ Beach Club and many others.

So there is always something or the other to do at Candolim. The best months to visit Goa would be December to February.

There are many beach shacks in Candolim to choose from. Most of them don’t bother publicising so the best way to know about them is to walk along the beach and just try out random ones that you see along your path

There are several beach restaurants here and a lot of sunbeds. It costs from 50-100 rupees depending on how good you are to bargain. There are many beach boys, hawkers and women selling "this-and-that" on this beach.

Buy food, beer, softdrinks, clothes and take massage. There are mostly English tourist here and some Russians. This beach is the best in North-Goa in terms of the sand/sea quality.

Picking a spot to have a meal might be a bit of a problem with the wide variety you have to choose from. Restaurants are easily spotted all along the road with different specialities, different sizes and each creating their own unique ambiance.

Restaurants such as Cecilia’s, Harmony Bistro and many others provide mouth watering meals for you, your friends and family to enjoy.
